Old & new minis

Going back to the path, I'll bring in a couple of totally different, unrelated minis that eventually may end up seeing themselves each other on a battlefield :P

First of all, the Jes Goodwin Plague Marine, the only of the four Chaos devoted guys I had missing.

Better late than never!

Putrid green in all its glory

No mistery at all about the colours, just a hideous bunch of greens and browns and some fleshy touches here and there. Just the same recipe I used for his cousins:

The three Caballeros

In the meantime, I got this other totally different mini from the Euphoria ranges:

Da rasta gangsta!

I was scrolling down the web looking for some other stuff but, as I saw this one, I knew I wanted the mini.

Can play as a ganger for the kind of project I'm developing

With that hair, he is the Samson of the future!

So be it, Julius Samson, local petty thief and occasional dealer of spook or whatever the market may require. Not the kind of hired muscle you would use for strong violent works, but a man of the streets, the one who knows who moves what in the neighbourhood and the one for little smuggling. Everyone in Besenval know that he has ambitions and that it's only a matter of time he tries to hit some big fish. For better or worse it is still to be seen...

That's all for the moment. I got some other stuff from the web, a couple of pieces of scenery; you will be seeing them quite soon... :)

  1. These pieces look really really good Suber. Your plague marines make me want to paint mine. I really should start painting my old W40K stuff again ... sigh.

    1. You should! I would be totally interested in seeing what your skills and techniques look on GW minis, that would be a thing, for sure!

    1. Thank you! They were nice to paint, though the 'organic' looks were a little bit tricky!

    1. ¡Gracias! Son minis chulas, el diseño de Jes Goodwin marcó una época, desde luego.

  4. Big fan of the older mini's. Jes Goodwin's models stand the test of time I find.

    1. Thank you very much! Plague Marines are charming (if that word can apply to them, hehe), I should think of replenishing my Nurgle Army ranks with this kind of Oldskool minis...
