Muties! (Pt. 5, some progress on the animals)

Back to the mutants again. I already showed what was I doing to provide the tribe with some riding beasts. Well, I have some progress on the subject. The big fella is now finished:

Imagine a caravan with this
You can see I added some more stuff, but didn't want to overdo it, so no more baggage. Less is more. However, I decided to put a bionic eye (thanks Wouter for encoraging me to do so!), the reins and that skull collar. The bionic savage look, you know. I also added a frame for the rifle:

Yur not gonna steal frum meh! Bang bang!
This is pretty much what I did to the beast. The other four are going to be more or less in the same fashion. I've finished the conversion work:

Berber mutant
True nomad of the wasteland desert

More Mad Max vibe
Half Skitarii helmet and random pieces
The aggressive guy of this pack
What can I say? I liked the helmet
It's the same beast used in the first mini. Different conversion
Trying to get that nomad scout look again
Fourth and last. Berber look again. Prosthesis made with a staple
Tiny but menacing
I've already begun the painting process (primed and first layer), so I hope it won't take that much to have them finished! Fingers crossed...

    1. Thanks! It strikes me to see how much these minis can change with such simple conversions. I hope not to screw it when painting!

    1. Thank you! The World of Twilight minis are really cool; I've restrained myself to just these few, but you could make full units with their ranges. Let's see how these look once painted...

  7. Dude, this is totally fantastic really, nothing adds more depth and character than these sort of models, you get info on the fauna and th einhabitants of a planet at the same time, it's waht made Star wars so great and why the RT rulebook is so fun.
This is bound to be stolen (the idea I mean)

  9. These are looking great! Your Berbers are particularly nice - the headdresses, shaggy beasts and long rifles just all come together perfectly :)

    1. Thank you! The Berber theme popped up as something kinda natural, nomad tribes wandering along the desert; I guess that kind of thing is into the collective exotic imaginery, looked appealing to me into this context. That, mixed with some Mad Max vibe, evolved into these!
