As I told you last week, I'm going to show up some Orks from old. These were part of a project developed with the crew of Laseburn to play Rogue Trader again. We dusted off our old RT books and joined up some minis for it. So I had to paint and repaint some pretty old minis. I had to turn these:
Into these:
Orks Orks Orks Orks! |
Of course we needed minis from that age for this game, one does not simply play Rogue Trader with Sixth Edition miniatures!
Old minis, old colour schemes |
True classics! |
There are no two identical minis, all of them have different colours |
You don't see these colours that often on Orks! |
Clans are too modern for us! |
Oldschool Orks are da best! |
Only green is forever |
He's wearing a Crimson Fist Space Marine shoulderpad. Psy-ops FTW! |
Well, sorry for some crappy pics. You will see what we managed to do with these guys, as we brought back to life the classic 'Battle at the Farm' and some more as part of a campaign for Rynn's World. We managed to recover all the fluff from 1987 and we ended up gaming quite a series of battles.
I even converted a mini to play as the Ork Warlord Snagrod the Arch-Arsonist of Charadon:
I tried to catch up the spirits of that age with this character |
This is his original heraldry |
Da bossy boss |
Well, I know those are not great minis, not my best job painting -and even worse photos. But the nostalgia effect is enough for me. I'll bring the campaign to you quite soon and let you judge!
This is nice characters, I like your work on painting, very detailed .
ReplyDeleteGood work
Greetings
I love these minis. But not only because of the minis themselves, but also for the memories of the games we played with them. :)
ReplyDeleteNice Job. I really loved those classic Orks top stuff
ReplyDeleteThank you! The painting here has not been my best work, but the nostalgia factor is quite important indeed here.
