In the "no one ever knows what comes next" series in this blog, today I'm bringing some dear, lovely Goblins! Yes, OK, I had to look up for the name of these fellas, "Rippa's Snarlfangs". Sure thing, Games Workshop, sure. Cool wolf rider Goblins, that's all.
I admit they don't look specially Oldhammerish, but I also have to admit that these wolves look really cool. Not 100% what I envision when I read The Hobbit, but utterly good looking nevertheless.
They conform a warband for Underworlds, so I have yet another excuse to get back to that game!
Here you have the three of them:

| Not pretty sure if that sword is really functional |

I don't know who's angrier, the wolf or the rider Unfortunately there's only three of them. I guess it makes sense for Underworlds, but I'd really like to have a few more! |

| I cannot play the Battle of the Five Armies with just these! |

First comment! (Yeah, I'm that cool)
ReplyDeleteLove these. They have lots of character and whilst I'm not a fan of the current Orruk style, GW's goblins still look pretty cool to me. (The wolves though are definitely the best part of these sculpts.)
A while back I mentioned in a comment that Relic Knights had been resurrected by a Texan company. Well, they just posted today that a game store in Spain (Who has a webstore too) is stocking the new sculpts! You can find them here if you are interested - https://eldadoverde.com/categoria-producto/wargames-scifi/relic-knights/)
Thank you very much! Oh, I remember what you said about Relic Knights! I'm most definitely having a look at that link, thank you!!
DeleteLovely looking gobbos. They have the right sort of malevolent mean look for goblins.
ReplyDeleteThe wolves are great too, fantastic paint jobs.
Thanks! I really like the evil grin and their whole look, they were a real treat to paint
DeleteGreat looking Gobbos!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Little buggers were a pleasure to paint! :D
DeleteThese Underworlds miniatures are really great. Might be some of the best of modern GW. And I do love how you painted them and the way you photograph them in scenery and with a background. I really should invest in the latter!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Oh, that background book is the best investment I've done in quite a while!
DeleteExcellent work Suber, I particularly like your attention to detail with the wolves markings.
ReplyDeleteThanks! The minis are sweet, really nice and easy going to paint!
DeleteGreat work! If you're looking for more of them, GW actually created a whole AoS faction around them (Gitmob) with more wolf riders, chariots etc.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Oh, you're right! I do need to have a look to those ranges!
DeleteI have had an eye on these things for possibly utilizing them for The Old World. This post has only strengthened that desire...so, thanks?
ReplyDeleteHaha, my pleasure! I love being a bad influence! XD
DeleteI like these Wolf Riders, you have done a good job painting them.
ReplyDeleteThanks! They were fun to paint, even with the amount of details, I enjoyed them a lot!
DeleteSplendid looking Goblin wolf riders, lovely finish!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thank you! These were kind of out of my comfort zone, but I had a real good time with them :)
DeleteThose are gorgeous, Suber, and I love the photos.
ReplyDeleteThe minis are awesome, I need more! More!
