I see double

Back to regular activity again (as desperately slow as it may be), I thought I needed something quick and easy, to raise morale and keep on with my other more complex ongoing projects. So I chose a big, monochromatic element, the AT-ST from the Imperial Assault game:

Another wobblehead
You can see I wasn't looking for any complication or cool effect, just having it tabletop ready. The production value here is that, thanks to a friend from a forum... I got a second one! Yay!

Don't know if you can use two of them in the game but... who cares! I have two! :D
Super easy work, all made in just one evening (well, bases took the whole night to dry, you know). So the kind of stuff to cheer me up and get back to greenstuffing muties and improving the railway infrastructure of my board ;) Besides, this helped to keep this whole Imperial Assault project alive!

More stuff coming soon :)

    1. Thank you! Fortunately for them there are no Ewoks in the surroundings...

  2. These pieces look great! And everyone knows the only thing better than a giant walker is.... 2 giant walkers!

  3. They look great! I like how you've made them a little weathered but not overly distressed.
I completely agree that sometimes when you're stalled at the hobby table, it's good to do something fast and instantly gratifying in order to get back into the groove.

    1. Thanks! Right, I tried them to look not just brand new, but not too over-weathered, glad you like them!

  4. Soooo...I imagine the conversation inside the Suber skull going something like...

"Wow, that big tank is cool, but you know what would really make my list work?
    Two big tanks!"

    Then, after another game...
"Those two big tanks were awesome, but you know what would be better?
    Three big tanks!"

    Rinse, Repeat...
...until the wife has you sleeping in the garage
(and what's worse, you begin to believe that this is a good trade-off)

    Speaking from experience :)

  5. Nice work Suber! I've been thinking of getting the Imperial Assault board game. Don't have the funds for it yet but that doesn't stop me thinking about it :)
How big are the miniatures from this board game ... say if compared to a Games Workshop W40K mini?

I'm currently painting some infantry, I hope I'll be able to show them in a couple of days or so. I'll take some comparison pics :)
But you need the game. Do not resist. It is your destiny. Search your feelings...
